Dental Office Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and will play a crucial role in assisting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
• Take X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate medical and dental records and patient information using dental software.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
• Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a gentle approach to ensure a positive experience for young patients.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of care in general dentistry and prosthodontics.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with dental software is a plus
• Knowledge of anatomy related to dental practices is essential.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and understanding of medical records management.
• Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
