Ohm Analytics is the leading research and data analytics firm focused on distributed energy. Ohm’s market intelligence platform provides real-time insights into the U.S. solar and storage industry and broader distributed energy markets. The platform is used by the industry's leading OEMs, distributors, finance companies and large public equity investors. Ohm Analytics is seeking a Clean Energy Market Analyst to join our passionate team committed to accelerating the clean energy transition.
The successful candidate will analyze a wide range of trends impacting U.S. distributed energy resources and electrification markets (solar, storage, EVs, etc.). The duties will include analyzing Ohm’s proprietary data and secondary sources to draft reports on industry growth, technology, and policy trends. The analyst will be expected to engage actively with members of the clean energy community at events and through interviews.
The analyst must enjoy the research process and be detail-oriented and comfortable with diverse data sets. The analyst must have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience in publishing/presenting research is preferred.
The analyst will be based in the Boston area at the Company’s office at Greentown Labs and report directly to the senior leadership team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research policies and data on the development and adoption of distributed energy resources
- Write and present clear and incisive industry analyses for a variety of platforms and audiences
- Engage industry participants to inform research and policy findings
Qualifications:
- Experience with research and report writing is a must
- Recent graduate or 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with expert and non-expert audiences
- Sincere interest in the clean energy transition
- Ability to work in a small team and take ownership on projects
