The Transportation Project Engineer works independently or as a member of a design team performing road design tasks for Local, County, and ODOT projects out of the Akron, Cleveland, or Columbus offices. This individual works directly for the Project Manager. Your Responsibilities
- Participate in the collection and analysis of data for roadway/highway and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare construction plans and documents.
- Perform design calculations.
- Develop and prepare design specifications.
- Perform project quantity estimates and construction cost estimating.
- Organize scheduling of specific assigned tasks and assignments.
- Understanding OHM services and how they relate to the client's organization and needs.
Education, Experience & Licensure:
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer in Ohio.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required with a focus on Transportation.
- Have some experience in the development of roadway/highway design plans.
- Understanding of ODOT design criteria, standards, specification, and plan preparation.
- Experience working in OpenRoads Design and/or Civil 3D.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to grow our Transportation Team in Ohio.
