What You’ll Contribute to OHM Advisors
OHM Advisors’ Environmental & Water Resource Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeling Engineer with a strong background in drinking water distribution systems to join our growing team. As a Senior Hydraulic Modeling Engineer, you will directly contribute to the planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on water distribution systems. This opportunity involves working with a growing team of hydraulic modelers on a variety of projects locally, regionally, and nationwide.
Your Responsibilities:
- Mentor and lead the development and calibration of hydraulic models for water distribution systems and analyze model results to develop recommendations for our clients
- Lead master planning and capital improvement plan development
- Mentor and lead booster station analyses for water systems to assess capacity, reliability, and energy efficiency
- Develop future water demand projections
- Design and deliver digital tools and dashboards
- Prepare clear, concise technical reports and presentations
- Fieldwork and site visits from design through construction may be required
- Analyze and process large amounts of complex data
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience
- Strong interest in hydraulic modeling and water industry
- Knowledge of hydraulic principles and analyses, as well as experience with or a strong desire to learn hydraulic modeling software
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program
- PE preferred
- Experience with InfoWater, WaterGEMS, or EPANET
