We are looking for a passionate and commercially driven Business Development Manager Feed Health to lead the execution of Ohly’s Feed Health strategy across global markets.
In this role, you will act as a key interface between market, customers, and internal teams—translating industry needs into innovative products, solutions, and partnerships. You will position Ohly as a trusted expert in feed health and functional ingredients while driving sustainable business growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
Strategy Implementation & Market Representation
- Lead the implementation of Ohly’s Feed Health strategy, both internally and externally
- Represent Ohly as a credible, agile partner to customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders
- Act as a key expert and ambassador in the feed health and pet food industry
Business Development & Customer Engagement
- Develop and grow business with key customers, partners, and prospects
- Drive opportunities from concept to closure through technical application advice and commercial support
- Coordinate closely with Innovation, Product Management, and Supply Chain to ensure customer success
- Build, maintain, and expand a strong professional network across the industry
Innovation & Market Insights
- Translate customer and market needs into innovation and supply chain requirements
- Influence internal development pipelines toward high-value, market-relevant solutions
- Identify and develop new product ideas, applications, and market opportunities
- Recognize patentable concepts and drive their protection in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Stay current on scientific, technological, and market trends
Additional Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate animal feeding trials to generate application data where needed
- Ensure all customer interactions are properly documented in CRM systems
- Contribute actively to strategic reviews and business direction discussions
- Act as a key influencer, aligning colleagues and partners through strong communication and collaboration
You should have:
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in animal feed, feed additives, or related sectors
- Strong expertise in feed formulation and functional ingredients, ideally combining scientific and practical experience
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Professional Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of animal nutrition, especially feed formulation and functional ingredients/additives
- Strong ability to evaluate technical and commercial feasibility of new ideas
- Understanding of the relationship between formulation, performance, and economics
Methodological Skills
- Proven experience in project management
- Ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, actionable insights
