Job Description Summary
This position works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Virtual Health Leadership. This position is to ensure consistent and appropriate oversight of a patient demonstrating behaviors that put him/her at risk for treatment interruption, or a nonviolent patient with frequent needs for assistance.
Responsibilities And Duties
Maintains visual observation of patients at all times.
Verbally redirects patient over digital 2-way audio device that is in patient room.
Immediately summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
Participates in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues.
Demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules, and works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

This position requires a commitment of 32 hours per week, during night shifts. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed during orientation. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities. The ability to maintain focus on specific tasks or subjects for extended periods is essential, as is the capacity to analyze and synthesize patient care information to develop tailored care recommendations. A minimum of one year of experience in healthcare or a service-related industry is preferred.
