Working Janitorial Supervisor (2nd Shift)

The Working Janitorial Supervisor will be working at the Federal Building downtown Cincinnati and responsible for assuring that all teams satisfy all janitorial safety, quality and production requirements.  

On site, single point Customer contact. Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on overall safety, quality, productivity and inventory on a daily basis. Lead continuous improvement program, provide cause and corrective action analysis, assess and report overall performance to standards and assist in the establishment of short- and long-term goals and objectives. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet Goodwill standards to drive their vehicles.

Requirements:

• Education: High school graduate or GED, some college desired. 
• Experience:  Background in quality control inspection. 5 - 8 years janitorial experience and 3 to 5 years supervisory experience. Valid driver’s license with good driving history preferred. 
• Knowledge: 
• Standard operating procedures, quality control, typical machines utilized in the cleaning of office or industrial establishments, safety, quality inspection and operating standards and procedures.  Able to lift up to 50 pounds, repeated bending, stooping, reaching.  Able to operate equipment required by the contract. 
• Must be able to pass initial drug test and random testing throughout their tenure. 
• Must pass initial background check and Contract's established Security Clearance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Performs the contractual and functional assignments required by the contract and as assigned by the project manager or manager, including On-Call.
• Performs two or more daily quality control inspections and utilizes the scoring criteria for all janitorial services as stated by the cleaning requirements.
• Manages daily tasks and frequencies by using quality control schedules as a guideline for quality control inspections and daily scheduling of teams to clean the contract.
• Provide daily cleaning inspection reports and indicate when areas require additional attention to ensure contract compliance. The Project Manager may increase the number of planned and random quality control inspections until the contractual performance level has been consistently met.
• Be a role model of responsibility and capability to the teams—exhibit and guide teams in appropriate behavior and work ethics daily.
• Provide the teams with appropriate training, productivity standards, and work and safety instructions for all equipment and supplies required by the current assignment.
• Assist the team leaders and members in developing desired work habits and appropriate work behavior and ethics.
• Daily conduct pre- and post-inspections, analyze all deficiencies, determine cause and corrective actions, and provide appropriate and timely feedback to lead janitors and coaching.
• Provides the team with hands-on leadership, inspiration, and motivation required to meet or exceed the safety, quality, and productivity standards of each day's assignments.
• Assume other responsibilities as required and outlined by the project manager or manager.
• Responsible for site inventory control, storage, and usage.
• Performs Janitor duties as required.
