Ohio Truck Equipment is a division of Robertson Truck Sales, a family owned and operated business since 1984 specializing in industry specific techniques in the upfitting of medium and heavy-duty trucks. Our company is growing and is currently searching for a Truck Mechanic to assist our Truck Upfitters! Ohio Truck Equipment has the capability to fabricate and assemble trucks to facilitate upfitting of our vast product line for virtually any industry.
Position Title: Medium to Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic
Location: Mount Vernon, OH 43050
Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm, optional overtime available on Fridays
Responsibilities:
- Driveshaft balancing and fabrication
- Remove and install U-joints, center support bearings, yokes and related parts
- Install and configure PTO (power take-off) units and phneumatic/air controls per specification of truck build
- Assisting Truck Upfitters with minor miscellanious troubleshooting for lights, electrical and hydraulic issues on truck upfitting installs
- Operate shop equipment and tools safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company safety standards
Qualifications:
- 3 years of mechanical experience is preferred
- General knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, hydraulics and mechanical components
- Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Possess a positive work attitude and willingness to work with fellow team members
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, 100 pounds assisted
- Must be willing to supply necessary tools
- Possess a commitment to safety and company safety policies
- Ability to maintain excellent housekeeping habits
