Role Description The Shop Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Batavia, OH, with some field service likely (especially during peak season, Winter) This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and preparing temporary heating and cooling equipment for deployment to customer sites. Day-to-day duties include inspecting units, performing routine and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, and safely maintaining and operating heavy equipment and forklifts to move and stage inventory. The Shop Technician will also assist with equipment setup documentation, maintain a clean and organized shop environment, and coordinate with team members to ensure equipment availability and readiness. Occasional customer communication, inventory checks, and basic administrative updates will also be necessary.

Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair skills, with experience servicing mechanical and basic electrical systems on industrial or HVAC-related equipment.
- Ability to work safely with Heavy Equipment, including moving, staging, and loading units in a shop or yard environment.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with team members, reporting equipment status, and following documented procedures.
- Proficient Troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
- Safe and certified (or certifiable) Forklift Operation skills for handling equipment and materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical, mechanics, or related fields is beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and follow safety guidelines consistently.
- Basic computer skills for work orders, inventory systems, and remote communication; valid driver’s license with ability to pull a trailer safely, and a good driving record preferred.
