Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Columbus, OH, for a Nurse Practitioner at the OSUCCC – James. The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient-centered care, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer within collaborative care teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing care plans, prescribing medications, and educating patients and their families. Coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes is a critical part of the role.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or eligibility to become licensed in the state of Ohio.
- Expertise in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and care plan development.
- Experience with oncology care or clinical trials is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary healthcare teams and communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
- Advanced Practice Nursing degree from an accredited program and board certification in the relevant specialty.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within a healthcare or clinical environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
