Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering core cosmetology topics such as hair styling, coloring, cutting, nail care and esthetic treatments.
- Demonstrate practical skills in the basics and advanced techniques.
- Instruct students on the basics and advanced techniques.
- Assess student performance through evaluations, practical demonstrations, and written tests to ensure mastery of skills.
- Provide personalized feedback and mentorship to support individual student progress and confidence.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic classroom/clinic environment adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience as a cosmetology instructor with a strong background in cosmetology.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in cosmetology disciplines including hair styling, coloring, nail care, facials, body waxing, and esthetic treatments.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology procedures.
- Familiarity with adult education principles and lesson planning to create engaging learning experiences for diverse student populations.
- Licensure in cosmetology as required by local regulatory bodies. Must have Advanced Cosmetology License and Cosmetology Instructors License.
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate and inspire students toward professional excellence.
