What You Should Know About the Personal Care Specialist Role:
- The PCS position is a DRIVING position seeing patients in both facilities and homes within the greater Middletown and surrounding areas of Butler/Warren Counties
- This is a Full-Time day shift position with the available shifts of M-F 8am-4pm; Sun-Wed 8am-6pm; or Wed-Sat 8am-6pm
- We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed
The Personal Care Specialist’s Essential Duties Are:
We provide superior care for patients in families in homes/facilities. Our CNAs are titled "Personal Care Specialist" because they are valued for their expertise in taking care of the patient's personal needs with dignity, compassion and empathy. You could become a Personal Care Specialist that provides quality nursing assistance to patients, assists the family with the care of the patient and works with a team that relies on your input from the close relationship you develop with the patient.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED;
- Certified: Certified Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio without any board actions; Current registry status in good standing
- Non-Certified: No required CNA but must complete the required 75 hours of in-house training upon hire: must meet internal competency checklist
- one year of experience preferred;
- Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred, required within two years of employment;
- Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
- Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
- Valid Driver's license with Safe Driving Record.
- State minimum automobile insurance coverage.
