- Seeking service-oriented people to provide elementary level tutoring for K-5 students in local elementary schools as a Member of Ohio Reading & Math Corps!
- Work with students who are below-proficient in reading for their grade level.
- Members receive training and are assigned to one school for the school year
- Members will provide tutoring to a set list of students in small groups or in 1:1 settings.
- This is a great way to give back to the community, help students, and gain valuable experience for those interested in obtaining a job in a school district.
This is a service position with AmeriCorps, requiring 30 hours/week December 1st - May 31st following the school schedule. In return for service, Members receive a stipend of $1,600 per month, plus an Education Award of up to $2,817.14 upon completion of the term. This can be used to pay student loans or college tuition.
