- Seeking service-oriented people to provide school-based mentoring for students in local middle/high schools as a Member of Ohio Reading & Math Corps!
- Work with students who are experiencing barriers to school success, including attendance, behavior challenges, or relationship difficulty.
- Members receive training and are assigned to one school for the school year
- Members will provide mentoring to a set list of students in small groups or in 1:1 settings.
- This is a great way to give back to the community, help students, and gain valuable experience for those interested in obtaining a job in a school district.
This position is for Dixie Elementary School.
This is a service position with AmeriCorps, requiring 30 hours/week September 1st - May 31st following the school schedule. Total commitment is 900 hours over 9 months. In return for service, Members receive a stipend of $1,500 per month, plus an Education Award of up to $3, 850 upon completion of the term. This can be used to pay student loans or college tuition.
