Toledo Tool & Die is adding Press Operators to our team to support our continued growth.

Monday-Thursday 3:30pm - 1:30am

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Start machines, monitor their operation to ensure it is processing properly, and record operational data for material tracking and record number of pieces produced with other documentation to run the machine.
- Operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal material.
- Load work pieces into machines.
- Examine and inspect completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Read production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used to be compliant with customer specifications relative to dimensions and tolerances.
- Verify and document dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, including but not limited to calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Assist in completing simple to intermediate tasks associated with coil and die changes.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Prefer six (6) months of warehousing and inventory experience.
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
- Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Report for work on time to support production startup.
- Forklift experience preferred.
