What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Panel Service Technician position at Ohio Power Solutions?
Ohio Power Solutions is seeking a hard-working, motivated individual to service residential and commercial solar systems. We are family owned and operated with over 17 years of experience. We are looking for someone who is detailed and task oriented, honest, extremely responsible, and works well independently and as part of a team. We take pride in our high quality work, excellent customer service, and we take care of our employees who exhibit good hard work and dedication. Equipment troubleshooting and replacement experience is a plus but not required. We will provide training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Service Technician will work independently to perform all tasks necessary to maintain and repair our customer’s solar systems, battery-based systems, and generators, including the following; troubleshooting remotely and on site, replacing faulty equipment, working with various technical support groups to troubleshoot problems, manage and track replacement equipment shipments, create invoices for billable work, and any other tasks as needed. Working on roofs, ladders, and lifting 50 pounds will be required. Must be able to work outside, safely climb ladders, and work on sloped roofs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- Knowledge and ability to work around electricity safely
- Able to learn new equipment technologies, pass testing and certification requirements

- Able to communicate to customers positively and provide excellent Customer Service
COMPENSATION:
- 40-50 hours / week (7-5), Monday - Friday
- $25 - $37 per hour depending on experience
- Pay Increase in 6 months (Amount will vary with ability to learn quickly & safely)
