Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver/Laborer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, transporting materials, and maintenance. s. Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, diggers, and other construction machinery to support telecommunications infrastructure projects.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites efficiently and securely.
- Assist with fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and testing in outdoor environments.
- Use diagnostic tools and telecommunications testing equipment to troubleshoot network issues on-site.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering plans to ensure precise cable routing and system setup.
- Perform telecommunications outside plant operations including cable splicing, network cabling, and fiber optic splicing.
- Support telecommunications network installation by climbing poles, ladders, and working at heights safely following the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and construction machinery.
- Strong outdoor work experience in telecommunications or construction environments.
- Knowledge of fiber optic cables, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), electrical systems, and low voltage wiring.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides.
- Familiarity with telecommunication systems including fiber optic networks, Ethernet, telephony, and computer networking concepts.
- Excellent hand tool skills and experience with cabling, splicing, and using diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
- Physical ability to climb poles or towers safely; comfortable working at heights in outdoor conditions.
- Commitment to safety standards including adherence to the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and OSHA regulations.
