Position Overview:- The Operations Coordinator reports to the Operations Director and plays a key role in supporting operational priorities for the organization including logistics, event and project management, administrative reporting, research and ensuring policy compliance. This position is hybrid and will require some in office days, event support, and some work from home. The Operations Coordinator must live in Ohio but Columbus area professionals are strongly preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities: The Operations Coordinator is able to work effectively with diverse staff, leaders, partners, and the general public. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented critical thinker with a strong track record of successfully managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently. Ideally, they are proficient in office and database software, web-based communication, project management and collaboration tools. They are committed to the principles of social justice and know how to manage multiple assignments and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Functions as a member of the operations team and works collaboratively with other teams to advance projects and goals.
- Responsible for reporting credit card charges and gathering receipts in coordination with the Operations Director
- Assists with ordering food, materials, office supplies and equipment requests within policy
- Assist the Operations Director in managing office records and administrative files as required
- Answers emails and calls in a timely manner and executes general office correspondence appropriately
- Provides on site logistical support for trainings and events
- Assist with travel coordination and booking for organizing staff according to policy
- Support database management, tracking and maintaining up to date internal records on work products
- Attends and actively participate in team and statewide meetings, work closely with the operations director, submit all reports in a timely manner, and attend/work professional trainings as required

Position Details The Operations Coordinator is a full-time salaried position. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred. The Operations Coordinator must be bondable, possess an Ohio driver’s license, and have access to a reliable automobile. In-state and minimal out of state travel is required. A base 40 hour work week will be established, but some evening and weekend hours will be required. Work-related expenses are reimbursed according to policy. OOC is an equal-opportunity employer. Classification Ohio Organizing Collaborative recognizes a staff bargaining unit with the Ohio Organizing Collaborative Chicago Midwest Regional Joint Board, Workers United SEIU. This position is NOT included in the Ohio Organizing Collaborative's bargaining unit due to access to sensitive staffing and financial information .
Experience and Salary Range: Entry level, with some professional experience preferred. Starting salary for this position begins at $47,500 and may increase commensurate with experience.
