We are seeking a highly skilled Data Administration Manager to lead agency data governance efforts and ensure consistent, effective use of data across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who excels at setting standards, guiding technical teams, and shaping long-term data strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, publish, and enforce data administration policies aligned with organizational goals; oversee system integration and data definition standards.
- Lead or independently manage database design efforts, including determining data needs, metadata requirements, storage locations, and data lifecycle processes.
- Establish and maintain data access controls, security protocols, backup procedures, archival practices, and data removal standards.
- Support executive leadership in implementing enterprise information strategies; maintain and update the organizational data dictionary and ensure consistent metadata and naming conventions.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to data and other IT staff; offer guidance on best practices, data modeling, and ongoing data development projects.
- Or 12 mos. exp. as Data Administration Manager 1, 67171.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
