Position Summary
The Regional General Manager, Midwest Operations is a senior operational leader responsible for the overall performance, safety, and profitability of multiple Midwest facilities. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership across labor management, productivity, quality control, safety, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
The Regional General Manager partners closely with the Midwest Operations leadership team to ensure operational excellence, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and scalable growth. This position plays a critical role in driving efficiency, improving systems and processes, and contributing directly to the organization’s bottom-line results.
Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all phases of warehouse and distribution operations across Midwest facilities.
- Provide oversight to ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
- Partner with Operations Managers and General Managers to drive operational effectiveness and accountability.
- Lead facility start-ups in collaboration with the Midwest Operations team.
- Continuously evaluate storage efficiency, facility layouts, and space utilization, implementing improvements as needed.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee and evaluate operational systems, infrastructure, and workflows; identify opportunities for process improvement or system enhancements.
- Contribute operational insight to strategic planning initiatives, reviews, and business forecasts.
- Analyze process workflows, labor needs, equipment layouts, and space requirements; lead implementation of improvements.
- Prepare and execute action plans to support production, productivity, quality, and customer service goals.
Customer & Vendor Management
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers across Midwest locations, with special focus on directly aligned accounts.
- Support onboarding of new customers and participate in business development initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer issues related to service quality, equipment concerns, or on-site incidents.
- Communicate customer feedback to operations teams and lead resolution efforts to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Manage relationships with key operational vendors.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Promote and maintain a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment across all facilities.
- Partner with the Safety Manager and General Managers to enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a company representative on regulatory matters as required.
- Conduct audits, evaluate trends, and resolve compliance or safety-related issues.
People Leadership & HR Partnership
- Lead, develop, and support high-performing teams across multiple locations.
- Work closely with Human Resources on policy implementation, performance management, recruiting, and associate development.
- Mediate disputes and foster positive, cooperative employee relations.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development among leadership teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in warehouse and inventory management, distribution, fleet management, 3PL, or manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience managing multiple teams and facilities; prior P&L responsibility strongly preferred.
- Experience leading in fast-paced, high-growth operational environments.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of operational and financial principles.
- Demonstrated ability to set strategy, lead change, and drive process improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and build consensus in high-pressure environments.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

- Ability to multitask and remain calm during crisis or time-sensitive situations.
The work environment reflects a standard warehouse setting, including working near others, exposure to heavy machinery, moderate to high noise levels, and varying indoor and outdoor temperatures. Onsite work is required; this is not a remote position.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 80% travel is required for company site visits. Most travel will occur within a 2.5-hour radius and be completed as day trips. Travel to remote sites, including Olive Branch, MS, is required at minimum on a quarterly basis.
