SUMMARY: The Project Coordinator’s main role is to assist in processing and preparing non-standard orders for production. This includes simple approval and fabrication drawings, along with converting paperwork to be received into the shop. The Project Coordinator works closely with detailing and project management. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring all tracking and notation is up to date on current projects and organized so that information is readily available. This can be a stand-alone or developmental role leading to a Project Management career path.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with detailing and project management to ensure all paperwork is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist project management in assembling packages and drawings for outside quotes.
  • Provide supplemental Project Management support in connection with customer questions.
  • Provide supplemental Project Management support to internal customers and team members.
  • Coordinate the development of simple fabrication drawings to be used by plant personnel.
  • Manage the internal follow-up on assigned architectural projects.
  • Develop quick hit architectural submittal drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Customer follow-up as required.
  • Develop simple fabrication drawings to be used by plant personnel.
  • Perform all duties according to established Company operating, safety, environmental, engineering, and quality practices and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES: An associate degree in engineering or architecture or other combination of education and experience, as well as the ability to read and interpret architectural plan sets is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is required. No prior work experience in a related field is required if the candidate is a new or recent graduate. Must have excellent communication skills, as well as outstanding organizational and planning abilities; must also possess a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and follow up with a sense of urgency.
