What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly - 1st Shift position at Ohio Electric Motors?
Are you hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and motivated by seeing the results of your work come to life? As an Assembler, you’ll play a key role in producing high‑quality custom motor components that power essential equipment across industries. You’ll work with a supportive team, modern tools, and clear blueprints to create products you’ll be proud of.
- Build custom motor components by reading and following work packets and blueprints with accuracy.
- Rotate between hands-on tasks such as magnetizing, assembling, testing, banding, painting, and packing.
- Use quality hand tools, gauges, and measuring instruments to ensure every product meets our high standards.
- Assemble premanufactured parts and test final products to ensure they perform exactly as designed.
- Support smooth production by performing basic equipment maintenance and immediately reporting safety or repair concerns.
- Take on additional projects or tasks as assigned by your leadership team.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Skills That Will Help You Succeed
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments and basic mathematical concepts.
- Skilled in the operation of hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds regularly.
