Includes But Not Limited To
- Prepares in-house design plans and reviews designs submitted by District Engineers, consulting firms, and local government agencies.
- Certifies plans and other engineering documents as a Registered Professional Engineer.
- Oversees the administration and ensures the successful completion of assigned projects.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in geotechnical engineering and provides recommendations for district-level geotechnical projects.
- Maintains and updates inventories related to geotechnical hazards and retaining wall structures.**
- A full position description will be provided at time of interview.
- Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
