What You Will Do

  • Direct the daily Accounts Payable workload and ensure timely invoice processing and accuracy across all AP functions
  • Oversee specialized tasks including lien processing, petty cash coordination, stop payment/EFT requests, and monthly/quarterly reporting
  • Lead team training, maintain procedure manuals, conduct system testing, and serve as the technical expert for error resolution
  • Support fiscal year-end activities and respond to audit and public records requests
  • Provide additional support to Accounts Payable team members through coaching, building trust, and creating a positive team culture

  • Technical proficiency and problem-solving ability to analyze reject reports, troubleshoot voucher issues, and support system testing

  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration.
  • Or completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in financial administration.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
