What You'll Do As a Sr. Financial Analyst
- Independently or as a lead worker research & analyze complex information to resolve errors, modify data, &/or determine appropriate action within assigned area.
- Audit & process financial transactions including vender payments, payroll, travel, refunds, etc.; Serve as liaison with Ohio Shared Services to troubleshoot any financial issues, questions, & communications; Analyze & resolve errors & out of balance conditions; Audit accounts to ensure sufficient funds have been encumbered or debited.
- Gather data & assist in the preparation of federal reports; Coordinate & prepare cash draw-downs.
- Assist in updating fiscal policy &/or make recommendations for appropriate changes.
- Assist with the preparation of data (e.g., personnel service expenditures, overtime utilization, maintenance & equipment requirements).
- Perform debt collection process by determining late payments & sending notices, creating payment schedules & certifying unpaid invoices to Attorney General's Office.
Option 1
42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
Option 2
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field;
Option 3
- Or completion of graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field;
Option 4
- Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Analyst, 66562.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
