- Coordinate & monitor implementation, development, installation &/or maintenance of computer hardware/software systems:
- Provide first level service helpdesk support for & act as liaison between BMV & the state of Ohio Deputy Registrars, Exam Stations, IRP offices, LADR offices, & FADR offices;
- Use manual to troubleshoot & rectify minor issues pertaining to hardware, application (BASS), & network issues;
- Escalate major & non-routine issues to higher level programmers, network technicians &/or vendors;
- Provide assistance regarding operational & procedural inquiries (including, but is not limited to, questions pertaining to vehicle registration, the Ohio Revised Code, Deputy Registrar Manual, Ohio traffic laws, & all related procedures & processes).
3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in electronic data processing/computer science (i.e., excludes data entry/ keypunch);
AND 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in computer hardware/software systems;
AND 1 course or 3 mos. trg. in operation of computer terminal & peripheral equipment (e.g., printers, modems, bursters, disk & tape drives).
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
