We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Wildlife Biology Program Administrator within the Division of Wildlife, headquartered at Fountain Square main campus in Franklin County. What You Will Do

  • Manage, coordinate, & monitor statewide public lands management programs on over 300 wildlife areas.
  • Work with a team to write ten-year public lands tactical plan, annual operational plans, and performance reports for public land recreational and habitat management.
  • Develop subsidy agreements with partners, solicit districts for projects, develop scopes of work, agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate statewide procurement contracts, coordinate with district subject matter experts to develop scopes of work, attend meetings with vendors.
  • Manage geographic information systems regarding public lands management.
  • Participate in interviews for public lands positions and develop performance evaluation criteria for public lands positions.
  • Starting hourly pay of $35.68/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $50.75/hr.
  • There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to Pay Rate and Longevity Tables | Department of Administrative Services.

Completion of graduate core program in wildlife management, wildlife biology or zoology or other related field of study AND 12 mos. exp. in supervising wildlife research or management activities.
