What You’ll Do
The Vendor Management Associate supports key functions within the Office of Information Services (OIS) vendor management office (VMO). This role collaborates closely with the Vendor Management Analyst and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to established standards and risk frameworks. The Associate contributes to vendor requirements analysis, risk tracking, process documentation, data accuracy, and event coordination, while helping drive efficiencies and support informed decision-making.
Challenges include relying on stakeholders from various areas to provide information as they juggle competing, high priority work.
Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Hours: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Travel: Occasional travel within the state of Ohio.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 33. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $33.52 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Assists with vendor tracking to ensure the appropriate resource has approved IT-vendor risks documents and assessments
- Tracks IT-vendor risks related to processes, projects, and procedures
- Maintains complete and accurate vendor surveys
- Creates technical documentation related to vendor management
- Conducts scans of the VMO dashboard and other metrics data to ensure functionality and usability
- Creates process flows and charts related to vendor management
- Assists with vendor events, including planning, coordination, and execution
- Assists with the gathering and analysis of business requirements
- Assists in maintaining accurate and timely data refreshes
- Creates, prepares, and distributes vendor related documents
- Performs research of contracts and contractual documentation
- Assists with special, time-sensitive projects

- 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
- Completion of associate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration;
- 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
- Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration;
- 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
- Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
