- Under immediate supervision of Housekeeping Manager & with required working knowledge of custodial procedures, cleans & maintains living areas, dining areas, restrooms & office (i.e., mop, sweep, dust, scrub, strip, seal, finish, buff floors, spray buff, shampoo, vacuum, steam carpets). Cleans restrooms, drains, bathing areas/locker rooms & fixtures in the rooms. Keeps stocked with toilet paper, soap, towels, etc.
- Empties & cleans wastebaskets, smoking container, trash cans; disposes of trash in proper locations; cleans light fixtures; replaces incandescent light bulbs. Cleans walls, baseboards, woodwork, washes windows inside & outside; sweeps sidewalks near building entryways; removes grass, leaves, dirt & debris from sidewalks. Maintains flower gardens in front of assigned building (e.g., weed, mulch, plant, water, etc.).
- Cleans, repairs, replaces curtains. Cleans, polishes furniture. Moves furniture while cleaning rooms. Occasionally moves furniture on & off work area as needed. Cleans radiator covers & inside as needed. Cleans windowsills; removes cobwebs; do general dusting; clean vents.
- Reports pest control, odor, fire, theft, illegal entry, needs for repairs, missing labels on chemicals to Supervisor. Requests supplies & equipment needed to perform custodial duties; inspects & requests problems to Supervisor. Completes daily checklist. Attends meetings, training sessions & in-services as required. Performs or assists in snow removal (i.e., shovels snow, salts roadways, driveways & sidewalks.)
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
