Duties
The Division of Administration, Information Technology section is seeking candidates to fill an Infrastructure Specialist 2 (IS 2) role. The IS 2 will perform the following duties, which include but are not limited to:
Device Management & Deployment
- Configure, deploy, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Use tools like Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, for imaging, patching, and software deployment.
- Maintain asset inventory and track hardware lifecycle.
- Provide Level 2 support for desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows 11, and mobile device issues.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, VPN, and remote access problems.
- Support Microsoft O365, email clients, and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Outlook).
- Enforce endpoint security policies (e.g., antivirus, encryption, MFA).
- Assist with compliance audits and ensure adherence to IT policies.
- Provide onboarding support and training for new employees.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Offer remote and in-person support, depending on the environment.
- Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, office moves, or software rollouts.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams on cross-functional initiatives.
- Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
- Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
