POSITION TITLE: 222- RRT (Respiratory Therapist)
LOCATION: Hospital Setting
REPORTS TO: Director of Ancillary Services
REVISION DATE: May 2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required for all positions (may be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6 months).
- REQUIRED: Completion of an Approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Completion of NBRC Therapist Multiple-Choice Exam, or equivalent, earning CRT or RRT credentials
- PREFERRED: N/A
- EXPERIENCE:
- REQUIRED: None required
- OTHER REQUIREMENTS OR LICENSURE: BLS Provider or equivalent knowledge; ACLS provider or obtains within 6 months of employment; PALS provider or obtains within 6 months of employment.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Usual working space is a well-ventilated area. Requires standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, and lifting. Clear speech to communicate effectively with customers (e.g. patients, families, and other team members). Fine and gross motor skills. Environment may be stressful at times, therefore ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary. Also subject to bloodborne pathogens at all times in patient care. May have occasional exposure to radiation during radiology procedures and to dangerous chemicals (cleaning and disinfecting agents).
