QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Kentucky certificate, license, or other legal credentials required.
2. Experience and other qualifications as specified by the Superintendent.
3. Ability to work effectively with students
4. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
REPORTS TO:
Principal/Band Director
SUPERVISES:
Students assigned by Band Director
JOB GOAL:
To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill and appreciation for music and an increased level of selfesteem.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.0 Leadership
1.1 Assists with coordinating marching band activities including band camp, rehearsals and pre-season activities.
1.2 Conducts rehearsals during the absence of the director.
1.3 Assists with the Christmas Concert and the Spring Concert.
1.4 Adheres to school board policies and administrative procedures
1.5 Adheres to the state Professional Code of Ethics
1.6 Demonstrates punctuality and good attendance for all duties
2.0 Management
2.1 Maintains material and equipment.
2.2 Assists with necessary fund-raising ventures.
2.3 Collaborates with the band director in music selection, pep-band and half-time show duties.
2.4 Shares responsibility for inventory of all music, uniforms, instruments and any other materials and equipment which are utilized by the band.
2.5 Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Band Director, Principal, Superintendent, or Board of Education.
3.0 Interpersonal Relationships
3.1 Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with students.
3.2 Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with staff.
3.3 Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with other administrators.
3.4 Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationship with parents/community.
