WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The usual working space is a patient care and office area. Physical requirements of the job are detailed within this job description. Direct patient care requires both fine and gross motor skills. Also subject to exposure to bloodborne pathogens in patient care. Potential to be exposed to dangerous chemicals (cleaning and disinfecting agents). The environment may be stressful at times, therefore the ability to work productively under stressful conditions is necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising clinical patient care and clinical quality at each provider practice clinic. Primary responsibilities include patient care assignments, delegation of duties to licensed unlicensed staff, evaluation of staff performance, provision of feedback through the day-to-day coaching participation in orientation of service line clinical staff at each clinic location, and active participation in the performance of direct patient care to ensure staff coverage and/or provide additional assistance and determined necessary. The RN Women’s Service Line This leader is responsible for communication flow from staff to service line/provider practice senior leadership and from leadership to staff. Therefore, this supervisor must possess effective problem-solving techniques, critical thinking skills, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership and decision-making abilities, and possess and maintain a high level of clinical experience. This position directly reports to the Manager of Clinical Staff Operations and has a matrix reporting relationship with the provider practice (service line) manager. In the absence of Clinical Staff Operations Mgr and/or Provider Practice Mgr (service line), the supervisor is responsible administratively for clinical care services/clinical staff operations and may be assigned administrative duties such as schedule and time management.
A base schedule will be outlined for the clinic location each day, as determined by the schedule of providers and/or patient care determinants. At times, the supervisor may be expected to travel to other clinics as determined necessary, outside the base schedule, to address new items determined to be priority.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent; secondary level education or nursing degree preferred
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: BLS certification or obtains within six months of hire
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
- o REQUIRED: 2 years’ experience in specialty clinic or like-setting. Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
- o PREFERRED: 1 year supervisory experience; experience with electronic medical records; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
TRAVEL: Travel to provider practice clinic locations providing specialty services.
