Are you ready to take on the challenge of becoming a 911 Emergency Dispatcher at Ohio County 911?
Ohio County 911 is a personally rewarding career that is on a mission to assist the residents and visitors of Ohio County to get the help that they when they need it most.
We are looking for people who possess the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment to help us achieve our goals.
We will train you to:
Be responsible for answering 911 and administrative telephone calls from the public seeking police, fire, EMS, and an array of other types of assistance. Enter data into a state-of-art computer aided dispatch system and dispatch first responders over a 450 MHz trunked radio system.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a well-rounded individual who can make sound decisions on demand, work a 12hr rotating shift schedule that requires some weekends and holidays, and be a team player willing to work alongside passionate and talented individuals.
