Part-Time Pest Control Technician – Deer, Tick & Mosquito Control

Pay: $17–$22/hour, Competitive, based on experience and licensing
Schedule: Seasonal, Spring–Fall / Flexible weekday hours / 10–20 hrs/week

About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Technician to join our team providing tick, mosquito, and deer control services to residential and commercial properties. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable working independently, and wants flexible part-time hours with room to grow.
No license required to apply — we're happy to support candidates through the licensing process, including assisting with exam prep, as long as you're willing to obtain certification shortly after hire. Licensed applicants are preferred but not required.
What You'll Do
- Apply 25(b) treatments for tick, mosquito, and deer control on customer properties
- Conduct property inspections to identify pest activity, breeding sites, and problem areas
- Follow label instructions and safety protocols for all product applications
- Maintain accurate service records, treatment logs, and customer notes
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site regarding treatment plans and recommendations
- Safely operate and maintain application equipment (backpack sprayers, truck-mounted equipment, etc.)
- Follow all state and company safety guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically able to walk properties, carry equipment, and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
- Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Pesticide applicator license preferred — if not currently licensed, willingness to study for and pass the required state exam(s) prior to or shortly after starting
- Required State of Maine pesticide licenses before starting the job:
- CORE Commercial Applicator
- Category 3A - Outdoor Ornamental
- Category 7E - Biting Fly & Other Arthropod Vectors
- Prior lawn care, landscaping, or pest control experience is a plus, but not required
