Busser/Food Runner (high school student)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their food and beverages promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Assist with cleaning and bussing tables to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
• Support the waitstaff by refilling drinks, providing additional utensils, and addressing guest needs as they arise.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries effectively.
• Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper food handling techniques throughout service.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
• Experience in kitchen environments or hotel settings can enhance your candidacy.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork and guest interactions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
