Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible, caring individual to provide daily household support and care for our family. The role is designed to assist the family’s mom in managing household responsibilities and caring primarily for our two youngest children (ages 4 and 6). While we are a family of nine kids (ages 4–16), most of our older children are self-sufficient and require little direct care.

This position includes practical household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, light cleaning, and transportation for sports or activities.

Our family is an active, fun Christian household. We regularly attend church, own and operate homes serving the most vulnerable—including senior care homes and group homes for individuals with disabilities—and we often involve our kids in serving alongside us. We also have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy being engaged in community and family-centered work.

General Requirements

• Character & Values: Responsible, trustworthy, supportive of a Christian family environment, and aligned with our heart for serving others.

• Experience: Prior household management, childcare, or related experience preferred.

• Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.

• Lifestyle Fit: Enjoys being around children and teenagers, comfortable in a lively and active household.

• Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record for occasional transportation.

• Flexibility: Willing to adapt to the family’s rhythms, including evenings as needed.

Typical Daily Duties

A typical day may include:

• Laundry & Organization

  • Wash, dry, fold, and put away clothing for family members.

  • Help maintain order in closets and dressers. 

• Meal Preparation & Groceries

  • Dinner prep and assistance with healthy family dinners.

  • Grocery shopping and stocking household staples including food, cleaning supplies and hygiene.

• Household Cleaning & Upkeep

  • General tidying, dishwashing, sweeping, and maintaining common areas.

  • Assist with deeper cleaning tasks as needed.

• Errands & Family Support

  • Pick up a child up from preschool.

  • Run errands for the family, including grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, handling returns, and other needs.

  • Support with party preparation, family events, and getting the household ready for vacations.

  • Provide care and support primarily for our two youngest children (ages 4 and 6).

  • Occasionally help with evening pick-ups or drop-offs for sports and activities.

  • Assist with dentist/doctor appointments as needed for the kids.

Compensation and benefits

• $20-$26 a hour, 30 hours a week
