Job Summary

In this role, you will be the friendly face guiding visitors to find the perfect gift for themselves or others in our Chicago-themed store. You must be enthusiastic and be customer-focused to to ensure our guests receive top-notch service. This position offers a fast-paced environment where your sales skills and passion for retail shine, creating memorable moments for every visitor.  Also looking for more experienced associates with leadership skills.  Room for growth within the company

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide engaging assistance to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly
• Encourage customer interest and upsell our merchandise
• Work with others to maintain organized merchandise displays and stocking practices
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with proper cash handling procedures and cashiering skills
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and replenishing shelves as needed
• Communicate clearly with customers using excellent etiquette and active listening skills
• Maintain store order, organization and cleanliness

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment is helpful
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with customers Bilingual abilities is not required but a plus
• Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and assist the store management staff
• Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Ability to self-start and be flexible, depending on the needs of the business
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to assisting shoppers
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
