Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, setting a positive tone for their dining experience
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems, ensuring smooth seating flow
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to optimize seating arrangements and wait times
- Handle phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservations as needed
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist with basic food safety and cleanliness standards in the host/hostess area to uphold hygiene protocols
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
- Experience with restaurant reservation management and familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Toast POS and reservation systems such as Resy is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations and table management tasks accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
