Position Overview:
Waterbury Button is seeking a Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented, individual who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment. This role is not just about spreadsheets and planning software; we are looking for an individual who will actively walk the floor to ensure inventory is where it needs to be and works cross-functionally with production and procurement to keep operations running smoothly. The Planner will be the hub of connecting production schedules and material availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works with Plant Manager to develop and manage production schedules in alignment with demand forecasts, capacity restraints, and inventory goals.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement to assess production requirements and resource availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing on the procurement of raw materials to meet production timelines.
- Analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and works with production on opportunities for improvement
- Maintain accurate production records, including schedules, inventory data, and production output.
- Manage and maintain data accuracy within the ERP system (NetSuite) (e.g., inventory, orders, production updates).
Reports to:
· Production / Plant Manager
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Understanding manufacturing processes, inventory control, and logistics a must.
- Experience with ERP systems, (NetSuite) and production planning tools is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
Relocation:
- Must be able to relocate to Cheshire, CT 06410 prior to starting work (Required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
