Location: Rochester, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00pm-7:30pm

Compensation: $17-$22 per hour based on experience

Under general supervision, the Custodian/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of their assigned QVI Campus area(s) and building(s).

Role And Responsibilities

The following duties are required to be performed on a daily basis and staff must have the ability to:

• Clean offices, restrooms, conference rooms, hallways, and stairways thoroughly using designated cleaning products and tools.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in trash cans.
• Vacuum designated areas.
• Sweep and mop around machining area, and any other assigned areas as needed.
• Must be able to be exposed to cleaning agents, dust and odors.
• Other related duties and tasks as assigned by management.
  
  

Requirements

• 3-5 years of custodial experience required.
• Educational qualifications are not required.
  
  

Physical And/or Environmental Requirements

• Physical ability necessary for sufficient mobility to walk from one building to another, several times throughout the span of a working shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry light to moderate/heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• If requested, moving or operating of heavy cleaning equipment may be necessary.
• Exposure to cleaning agents, dust, dirt, and/or odors may occur occasionally to frequently. Proper PPE for cleaning tasks will be provided.
