What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech 1 - Low Voltage position at Oglebay?
Top Level position with primary purpose of the position to maintain the assets of the park, while conducting oneself in a professional manner in relationships with fellow employees and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair low voltage systems such as controllers, relays, wall thermostats, control boards, sensors, and similar AC/DC components. Ability to identify faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- Ability to communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision
- Ability to properly and safely maneuver equipment – backhoe, bobcat, skid steer, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Properly store tools, equipment, or machines; including flammable materials
- Ability to carry equipment needed to perform job – e.g. tools, radio
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition of parts and supplies
- Activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards each day
- Solid knowledge and skill in the safe handling of hand and power tools, and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks
- Meet company standards and local and national codes while safely performing highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration, and pool heaters
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment including pump and motor replacement, plumbing, electrical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, program TV’s, etc.
- Ability to use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
- Advanced knowledge of all maintenance computers and devices that interact with programs and systems related to preventative maintenance, energy management
- Advanced level troubleshooting of hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Ability to train and mentor other maintenance tech workers, along with ability to perform engineer on duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
- Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures
- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; completion of safety training and certifications
- Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
- Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in at least three, and basic skills in the remaining categories of the following:
- Low voltage electronic systems and controls including AC/DC circuits (Required)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
