What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Building Maintenance Worker position at Ogdensburg Housing Authority?
The Ogdensburg Housing Authority is accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Senior Building Maintenance Worker. This semi-skilled position is responsible for independently performing, planning, organizing, and directing a variety of building and grounds maintenance, repair, renovation, construction, and cleaning tasks related to buildings and equipment. The position also supervises subordinate staff and performs related work as required.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of common repair and maintenance practices, tools, terminology, and safety procedures; the ability to follow oral and written instructions; the ability to maintain written records; the ability to work well with others; and the physical ability to meet the demands of the position. A New York State driver’s license is recommended.
Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position offers excellent benefits, including New York State Retirement, and starts at $49,715 per year.
This is a non-competitive Civil Service position; no exam is required.
