Job Summary And Qualifications
Leads infection control activities and oversees the implementation of the Hospital Infection Control and Prevention Program, Exposure Control Plan and other related Plans that are currently active. Leads educational programs relating to infection control for hospital and medical staff. Responsible to develop, implement and evaluate systems and measures governing the dentification, investigation, reporting, prevention and control of infections and communicable diseases within the hospital, including both healthcare-associated infections and community acquired infections. Maintains surveillance of patient units and laboratory data. Oversees identification of healthcare acquired infections and development/implementation of prevention strategies. Coordinates with the Employee Health Nurse in developing, administering and evaluating employee health services. Provides assistance to departments in compliance with the Joint Commission, Risk Management, Safety, Medicare, Medicaid and related standards. ls the liaison for Infection Control Services with Department of Health, Utah Hospital Association, HCA Clinical Services and Mountain Star Division as applicable.
What qualifications you will need:
Affiliated with our hospital is Pleasant View Emergency Center. This fully equipped, freestanding facility features board-certified physicians. Our nurses and technicians are specially trained in emergency medical care and available on a 24/7 basis.
Located 10 miles north of our main hospital, PVER features 10 plus treatment rooms, comprehensive imaging technology and a medical laboratory onsite, which help to ensure accurate and prompt care.
