Job Summary
The Youth Tackle Football Head Coach is responsible for leading a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate football program. This role focuses on teaching the fundamentals of football, fostering teamwork, promoting sportsmanship, and mentoring players both on and off the field. The Head Coach will supervise assistant coaches, develop practice plans, and ensure compliance with league and school policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead practices that teach proper techniques, strategies, and game rules.
- Create a positive team culture that emphasizes effort, respect, and growth.
- Ensure player safety by teaching proper tackling techniques and adhering to concussion and injury protocols.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches, and league officials.
- Manage game-day operations, including player rotations, play calling, and sideline conduct.
- Supervise and mentor assistant coaches.
- Participate in all required training, meetings, and certifications.
- Maintain and inventory team equipment and uniforms.
- Report disciplinary issues or safety concerns to the Program Coordinator or Athletic Director.

Education and Experience
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required

- Completion of required league or state safety training (e.g., concussion, heat illness prevention).
- Must pass a background check.
