Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner at the counter and throughout the store
- Answer customer questions about products, cuts of meat, preparation tips, and pricing
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, including in-store and phone orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-of-house and display cases
- Handle cash register transactions, including cash, card, and change handling
- Collaborate with butchers and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Resolve customer concerns or complaints with a positive, solution-focused attitude
Requirements:
- Previous customer service, retail, or food service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Food handling knowledge or willingness to learn meat products and cuts
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
