Medical Records Specialist
Mid-Sized Downtown Denver Law Firm is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to join our administrative team. Law firm experience is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic are essential. Experience working with medical records, healthcare documentation, or records management is highly desirable.
Responsibilities associated with this full-time position include, but are not limited to:
- Submitting requests for medical records and billing records to healthcare providers and medical facilities
- Tracking and following up on records requests to ensure timely receipt of records and billing documentation
- Communicating with paralegals, legal assistants, and attorneys regarding the status of requested records
- Reviewing incoming records for completeness and accuracy
- Organizing, indexing, and maintaining electronic medical records and billing documentation
- Entering, updating, and maintaining records-related information within the firm's case management system
- Monitoring outstanding requests and maintaining detailed records request logs
- Assisting with record production and document management processes as needed
- Ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive medical information
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database/case management systems
- Experience with medical records, healthcare administration, legal support, or document management preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

The salary range for this position is $45,000–$55,000 annually, depending on experience.
