Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, as a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to manufacturing, assembling, inspecting, reworking, cleaning, and packaging our products. Your attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to maintaining quality standards will contribute to the overall success of our production team.

The pay for this role is $18.03/hr and is based on position responsibilities and geographic location.

What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Comply with all federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to occupational safety.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure products meet specified standards and requirements. Identify any defects, inconsistencies, foreign material concerns, incorrect product, damaged packaging, or non-conformities and report them to the appropriate personnel. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production-related quality issues.
- Work Documentation: Accurately complete or support production logs, work orders, check sheets, reject/rework records, and other required documentation to track production progress and maintain production records. Enter data into computer systems or databases as needed when trained and assigned.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, Machine Operators, Material Handlers, Leads, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and resolve production-related issues.
- Communication: Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. Escalate safety, quality, equipment, product, label, date code, packaging, or housekeeping issues immediately.
- Assembly and Production: Perform production and packaging tasks according to established production guidelines and specifications. This may include feeding product, opening boxes, dumping product, inspecting bags, spacing bags, checking bins, handling trays, supporting checkweighers, clearing rejects, supporting rework, or following manual production processes to support finished products.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that materials and equipment are properly stored, food safety risks are controlled, and waste is disposed appropriately.
- Area-Specific Standard Work: Follow the applicable long-form SOP and badge SOP for the assigned area and position, including required checks, timing/frequency requirements, if/then response rules, and end-of-shift handoff expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Compliance with health and hygiene standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to perform simple calculations.
- Excellent teamwork and communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to prioritize workplace safety.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations and data entry when required for assigned tasks.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
- This role is performed on site at a facility that regularly processes tree nuts. Employees in this position will routinely work in areas where tree nuts and related allergens are present and may be exposed by contact or in the air.
