Position Summary

ofi is seeking a self-motivated individual for a critical position in our Bolingbrook, Illinois Cocoa Processing Facility and Warehouse. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be highly organized, detail oriented and thrives in a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Position Responsibilities

• Follow, lead, and demonstrate ofi's Safety and Quality Principles
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC control systems and electrical components up to 480 V 3 phase equipment
• Maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, conveyors, and production equipment including mixers, mills, chillers, blowers, and packaging equipment, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, visual inspections, minor repairs, and calibrations that are necessary to maintain equipment, machinery, instruments, testing equipment, wiring, and associated hardware at required specifications
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, test and make adjustments as needed
• Work closely with process and packaging operators to eliminate down time
• Assist in production as business dictates
• Create and complete Work Orders into Computer Maintenance Monitoring System (CMMS)
• Assist in maintaining accurate parts inventory and organization
• Fabricate parts as needed
• Other tasks as assigned

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or GED, required
• Five (5) years commercial or industrial electric experience required
• Maintenance experience in food manufacturing preferred
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge and practical application experience in electrical/electronics, PLCs, A/C, and D/C motors, drives and controls
• Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred Computer proficiency to learn other applications with basic instruction
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code
• Must own personal tools and multimeter
• Ability to work at heights above 8 feet; ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Basic math skills
  
  

The pay for this role in the state of Illinois ranges from $33.89 - $39.54/hour and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and/or other determining factors.
