What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal/Contract Administrator position at OffPlan?
OffPlan is a direct care platform in Florida, Georgia and Virginia and expanding into another 3-5 states by the end of 2026. OffPlan is built in partnership with independent, physician-owned direct primary care practices. Our thesis is simple: insurance is for emergencies, healthcare is for everyday life. Roughly 80% of what people actually need from the healthcare system — annual exams, sick visits, chronic disease management, care coordination — doesn't belong in an insurance claims process at all. OffPlan removes that 80% from the insurance system entirely through a straightforward membership: no claims, no prior authorizations, no deductibles, and same-day or next-day access to a physician who isn't managing a 2,500-patient panel. Insurance and stop-loss coverage stay in place for the true 10-20% that is genuinely catastrophic. We work with employers (self-funded, level-funded, and fully insured), benefits advisors and brokers, and primary care physicians who want to practice medicine without an insurance company standing between them and their patients. We're an early-stage, founder-led company, which means this role will have outsized visibility into the contracts and legal infrastructure underpinning OffPlan's earliest employer, broker, and physician relationships, with a direct line to the CCO, our Legal Officer, and founding team.
The Role
OffPlan is looking for a Contract Administrator/Paralegal to manage the contracts and legal administration that keep OffPlan's employer, broker, and physician relationships running smoothly as we launch in Florida and Virginia. You'll own the full contract lifecycle — drafting, redlining, tracking, and filing agreements with employer groups, benefits brokers, and partner physician practices — while also supporting broader legal and compliance administration for an early-stage, regulated healthcare business. This includes legal administration across every state OffPlan operates in, not just Florida and Virginia, as we continue to expand. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role with real ownership from day one: you'll help build the contract and compliance processes OffPlan will run on as it scales.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and manage employer service agreements, broker/advisor agreements, and physician partnership agreements from initial draft through execution
• Own contract lifecycle management — tracking key dates, renewals, amendments, and expirations across OffPlan's growing portfolio of employer, broker, and physician contracts
• Maintain and organize OffPlan's contract repository, templates, and playbooks so agreements are easy to find, execute, and audit
• Coordinate document execution through e-signature platforms and ensure fully executed agreements are properly filed and accessible
• Support corporate legal administration, including entity maintenance, state registrations/licensing filings, and compliance recordkeeping across every state OffPlan operates in
• Draft and manage NDAs, business associate agreements (BAAs), and other standard legal documents, flagging non-standard terms for attorney review
• Support regulatory and compliance research related to direct primary care, HIPAA, and state-specific healthcare and insurance regulations
• Liaise with outside counsel on more complex contract and regulatory matters, preparing materials and tracking open items
• Provide general paralegal support to the founding team — legal research, correspondence, corporate recordkeeping, and ad hoc projects as OffPlan grows
What You Bring
• 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, contract administrator, or similar hybrid role, ideally in healthcare, insurance, or another regulated industry
• Hands-on experience drafting, redlining, and managing commercial contracts through full execution
• Strong contract lifecycle management skills — you keep a clean, organized repository and never let a renewal or expiration slip
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare regulatory compliance is a strong plus
• Comfort with contract management and e-signature tools (DocuSign, Ironclad, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills
• Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred, though equivalent experience is valued equally
• Ability to work independently and wear multiple hats in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with limited structure
Compensation
$65,000 – $75,000 base salary, based on experience. This range reflects blended paralegal and contract administration compensation in the Atlanta metro market for a role with 3-5 years of experience.
What OffPlan Offers
• Ground-floor role at a founder-led company with a clear, differentiated model and committed leadership team
• Direct access and visibility to OffPlan's CCO and Legal Officer — your work will directly shape how OffPlan protects its earliest relationships
• Real ownership over building OffPlan's contract and legal administration processes from scratch, rather than inheriting a rigid playbook
• Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
Location
This is a hybrid role based out of OffPlan's Marietta, GA office, with an expectation of 50% of time in-office and 50% remote. We prefer candidates based in the metro Atlanta area.
